Revered Maa, the mother of our Pujya Shri Guruji Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji Maharaj, was the embodiment of devotion, was a very sincere sadhika and immense love and interest to maintain a life of austerity. After successfully completing the duties of house holder’s life she began to stay in the ashram in the year 2003. Her pre-monastic name was Vaidehi kar. In the course of time following the footprints of Devahuti, the mother of Bhagavan Kapil, Vaidehi Ma expressed her strong desire near her Paramahamsa son to initiate her into monkhood. Fulfilling the divine wish of the mother Pujya Shri Guruji Paramahamsa Prajnananandji Maharaj initiated her into monkhood on the special day of Guru purnima 30th July, 2007 and she became Swami Gurupremananda Giri. She left her body and went for the abode of God and Gurudev on 5th Feb, 2009.
Kamala Kar, the maternal Aunt of Maa Gurupremanandji as well as her best friend also joined Ashram in the same year with her. She gave all her maternal property including her House to start Hariharananda Balashram at Arua, Kendrapara. She was known as Aai (the grandmother) to all in the Ashram. In spite of her old age she was extremely devoted to Sadhana and Swadhyaya. Pujya Shri Guruji Paramahamsa Prajnananandji Maharaj initiated her into monkhood on the special day of Guru purnima 30th July, 2007 and she became Swami Amrutananda Giri. She left her body and went for the abode of God and Gurudev on 16th August, 2013.
Anita Pattnaik of Cuttack was a long time disciple of Shri Gurudev Paramahamsa Hariharanandji Maharaj, a very sincere Sadhika. She was initiated into Kriya Yoga in the year 1983 by Shri Gurudev. Paramahmsa Hariharanandji Maharaj. Shri Guruji Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji Maharaj declared her as a Yohgacharya (qualified to give Kriya Yoga intiation) in the year 2007. In 2009, Shri Guruji initiated Anita ma into monkhood and she became Swami Gurukrupananda Giri. Since 2014, she is the president of Prajnana Mission.
Bijayalaxmi Mishra, an eminent personality in the field of education was invited to the opening ceremony of Hariharananda Balashram. Being impressed by Shri Guruji from the dais she declared “From today I join the ashram and will serve here till my last breath.” She is M.A, M.ed, diploma in English and Assamese language she served as the Headmistress of Indupur Govt. Girls High School for more than 32 years and as the Accounts cum administrative officer in C.I office Kendrapara for one year. She joined Balashram in 2004 and she had an important role there for years. Towards the end of 2010 she moved to Matru Ashram to focus on her Sadhana and Seva. Bijayalaxmi Ma entered into Monkhood and she became Swami Kamalananda Giri in the year 2012. She became a Yogacharya in 2016. Since last years, she is staying in Hariharananda Gurukulam, Balighai Puri and intensifying her Sadhana.
Padmavati Hota, the mother of pujya Swami Suddhananda baba and a long time disciple of Shri Gurudev, Paramahamsa Hariharanandaji Maharaj stik to a very disciplined and devoted life and she has immense love and devotion for Shri Gurudev since her eldest son became Sannyasi. In spite of her household responsibilities she used to spend most of her time in Ashram in the divine company of Shri Guruji Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji Maharaj and because of her unconditional love for everyone in Ashram she is known to all as ‘Janani’. Finally she entered to monkhood and became Swami Padmajananda Giri in 2020. Now she is staying in Hariharananda Tapovan, Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh.
Shakuntala Pandya from Ujjaini, Madhya Pradesh is a long time disciple of Shri Gurudev, Paramahamsa Hariharanandaji Maharaj. Because of her sincere Sadhana, Shri Guruji Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji Maharaj declared her as a Yohgacharya (qualified to give Kriya Yoga intiation) in the year 2007. She entered to monkhood in the year 2016 and became Swami Samtruptananda Giri.
Hema Verma from Durg, Chatisgada , is the mother of Swami Sridharananda Ma. Since years she started to stay in Prajnanalaya kriya Yoga Ashram, Durg and she was initiated into monkhood in the year 2020 and became Swami Sharananda Giri.
Sunita Joshi was a long time disciple of Shri Gurudev, Paramahamsa Hariharanandaji Maharaj. She joined Ashram in 2004 and entered to Naisitk Brahmacharya in 2009 and got the name Brahmacharini Shantimayee. In 2012, she was initiated into monkhood and became Swami Sarvatmananda Giri. In early days she served in Hariharananda Balashram and Hariharananda Matru Ashram for years. In the year 2016 she became a Yogacharya and same year she was sent to stay and serve in Kriya Vidya Mandir, Sydney, Australia.
Ambika Ma, a long time disciple of Shri Gurudev, Paramahamsa Hariharanandaji Maharaj and a first batch residential brahmachari trainee from Odisha joined Ashram in 2009. She entered into monkhood and became Swami Avyaktananda Giri in the year 2012. In the early years she stayed and served in Hariharananda Balashram and Hariharananda Gurukulam for many years. From the year 2017, she is staying and serving in the Ashram “Temple of Compassion” in Texas, USA.
Usha Rajoria, a long time disciple of Shri Gurudev, Paramahamsa Hariharanandaji Maharaj and a first batch residential brahmachari trainee from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Since years back she was joined the ashram and entered into monkhood in the year 2012. For years, she stayed and served in Hariharananda Matru Ashram, Arua, Kendrapara and now she is continuing her sadhana and Seva in Hariharananda Matru Ashram, Naugaon, Jagatsinghpur, Odisha.
Prabha Ma, a first batch residential brahmachari trainee from Chatishgada, Durga, Madhya Predesh. She renounced her family and job and entered to monkhood in the year 2012. She is staying in Prajnanalaya Kriya Yoga Ashram, Durg Chatishgad to spread the teachings of Kriya Yoga.
Manjulata Joshi form Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh was a long time disciple of Shri Gurudev, Paramahamsa Hariharanandaji Maharaj and she is a sincere Sadhika. She was living a life of celibacy since long and finally entered to monkhood and became Swami Atmasthananda Giri in the year 2020. Now she is living in Hariharananda Gurukulam Balighai, Puri.
Tapaswini Das was a first batch residential brahmachari trainee from Odisha, joined Ashram in 2004. She started her stay in Hariharananda Balashram and entered to Naisitk Brahmacharya in 2009 and got the name Brahmacharini Dhyanamayee. In 2012, she was initiated into monkhood and became Swami Gurusarananda Giri. In early years she served in Hariharananda Balashram and Hariharananda Matru Ashram for years. From 2017, she is staying and serving in the Ashram “Temple of Compassion” in Texas, USA.
Sasmita Sethi from Athagar, Odisha joined Ashram in the year 2006. She entered into Naistik Brahmacharya and became Brahmacharini Muktimayee in the year 2009. She served in Hariharananda Balashram for years, entered into monkhood in the year 2012 and became Swami Girijananda Giri. Now she is staying and serving in Hariharananda Matru Ashram, Arua, Kendrapara.
Sasmita Parida from Aul, Odisha joined Ashram in the 2009. She was initiated into Naistik Brahmacharya in the year 2012 and became Brahmacharini Jnanamayee. She entered to monkhood in the year 2016 and became Swami Jnanaswarupananda Giri. In early years she stayed and served in Hariharananda Balashram, Hariharananda Matru Ashram and Hariharananda Gurukulam. Now she continues her seva and Sadhana staying in the Jnanaprabha mission office Ashram in Pokhariput, Bhubanewar.
Smeeta Sarangi from Pattamundai, Odisha joined Ashram in the 2009. She was initiated into Naistik Brahmacharya in the year 2012 and became Brahmacharini Shaktimayee. She entered to monkhood in the year 2016 and became Swami Sharadananda Giri. In early years she stayed and served in Hariharananda Balashram and Hariharananda Matru Ashram. Now she continues her seva and Sadhana staying in the Jnanaprabha mission office Ashram in Pokhariput, Bhubanewar.
Protima Bag from West Bengal joined Ashram in the 2009. She was initiated into Naistik Brahmacharya in the year 2012 and became Brahmacharini Satyamayee. She entered to monkhood in the year 2016 and became Swami Satyamayananda Giri. In early years she stayed and served in Hariharananda Matru Ashram and now she continues her seva and Sadhana staying in the Hariharananda Balashram, Arua, Kendrapara.
Suchismita Parida from Aul, Odisha joined Ashram in 2009. She was initiated into Naistik Brahmacharya in the year 2012 and became Brahmacharini Chinmayee. She entered to monkhood in the year 2016 and became Swami Jyotirmayananda Giri. In early years she stayed and served in Hariharananda Matru Ashram and now she continues her seva and Sadhana staying in the Hariharananda Balashram, Arua, Kendrapara.
